Ho Ho Ho is a five reel, fifteen payline, and one hundred and fifty coin slot machine. The multiple paylines increase your chances of winning. Ho Ho Ho has a wild symbol, a scatter symbol, a Free Spins bonus game and a Gamble bonus game. The Santa symbol is a wild symbol. This means it substitutes for other symbols to complete winning combinations. The Santa symbol does not substitute for the Gift symbol to complete scatter winning combinations, or to activate the Free Spins bonus game.
Surely when Charles Fey built his first slot machine in 1896 he never
could have envisioned where the contraption would travel and how it would
transmogrify. In fact, for a hundred years his innovation hardly changed
at all, except cosmetically. The external design, consisting of an ornate
metal box was wrapped around the mechanism and became fancier or plainer,
larger or smaller, in attempt to attract the eye. But as always, when
a player primed the machine with coins and pulled the handle, the reels
spun randomly and, governed by stoppers eventually came to a halt. Each
reel was decorated with a variety of symbols that, when matched according
to a pay schedule (printed somewhere on the face of the machine), the
player won; when no matching symbols appeared, the player lost.
Though Fey is given credit as the Father of the Slot Machine, prototypes
existed years before he came up with the idea of converting them into
gambling device--which he believed would enhance the profits on his sales
routes. These early "amusement devices" could be found in saloons where
polite society would not be exposed to them and where proprietors stood
on the edge of breaking the law.
These first apparatuses had a major drawback. They were designed in
such a way that after a certain number of coins were inserted the weight
of these coins would tip the scales and some of the stored coins from
previous play would spill out, thus providing a winner. It didn't take
long for street-smart players and wise guys to figure out that the coins
would come out automatically with a little pushing and shoving and slamming
the machine around. So it was back to the drawing board where clever
builders devised first a metal bar to help prevent "tilting," and then
came up with smaller devices that could be bolted to a counter top or
wall.
Meanwhile, in dignified establishments such as grocery stores and mercantiles,
a similar piece of equipment began popping up and being played by even
the snootiest of patrons. Called the trade simulator, this machine operated
much like other contemporary devices except that the winners produced
could be exchanged or traded for goods within the establishment--thus
the name "trade," perhaps a forerunner to the modern cents-off coupon.
Playing slots was (and is) both a tactile and sensory experience involving
the feel of the coins and the touch and pull of the handle. It involved
the sense of vision, the sense of hearing, and the innate sensation of
anticipation.
Winning and losing depended on a simple mechanism that included symbols
(usually fruit of some kind, perhaps bars and/or sevens, and of course
hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades, Fey's original choice) affixed to
the three reels and a shaft. With ten symbols per reel, the machine was
capable of a thousand possible combinations.
Thunderstruck is a five reel, nine payline, and forty
five coin slot machine. It has a scatter and a wild,
multiplier symbol.
You are paid out for winning combinations on enabled
paylines only, except for scatter wins. The Rams symbol
can appear in any position, on any of the reels.
The Thor symbol does not complete a scatter symbol
combination.
Winnings are paid out on the highest combination
on each enabled payline only.
You are paid out for winning combinations on enabled
paylines only, except for scatter wins. The Rams symbol
can appear in any position on the reels.
The value of the Free Spins and Gamble Bonus Feature
prize is displayed in credits, not coins.
Malfunctions void all plays and pays.
Thunderstruck has two Bonus Features, Free Spins
and Gamble.
The Thor symbol is a wild, multiplier symbol. This
means that it substitutes for any other symbol to
complete winning combinations, except the scatter
symbol. The Thor symbol doubles the payout of any
combination it completes.
The Rams symbol is a scatter symbol. This means that
it does not need to appear in a line on an enabled
payline to win. It can be scattered anywhere on the
five reels, provided two or more Rams symbols appear.
The Thor symbol is a wild, multiplier
symbol. This means that it substitutes for any other
symbol to complete winning combinations, except the
scatter symbol.
The Thor symbol doubles the payout of any combination
it completes.
Multiple Thor symbols on a payline create winning
combinations as shown in the Payout Table.
1. Two Thor symbols and a single Ace symbol on an
enabled payline complete a three Ace symbols combination,
and pay out 10 coins. However, two Thor symbols are
displayed, so the payout is 10 x 2 = 20 coins. Since
two Thor symbols pay out 10 coins, you are paid out
for the three Ace symbols combination, as it is the
higher value payout.
2. Three Thor symbols and two Hammer symbols on an
enabled payline complete a five Hammer symbols combination,
and pay out 800 coins. However, three Thor symbols
are displayed, so the payout is 800 x 2 = 1,600 coins.
Since three Thor symbols pay out 200 coins, you are
paid out for the five Hammer symbols combination,
as it is the higher value payout.
3. Four Thor symbols and a single Nine symbol on
an enabled payline complete a five Nine symbols combination,
and pay out 100 coins. Since, four Thor symbols payout
2,000 coins, you are paid out for the four Thor symbols
combination, as it is the higher value payout.
4. Five Thor symbols on an enabled payline complete
a winning combination, as per the payout schedule,
and pay out 10,000 coins.
The Rams symbol is a scatter symbol. This means that
it does not need to appear in a line on an enabled
payline to win.
It can be scattered anywhere on the five reels, provided
that two or more Rams symbols appear.
Winnings are calculated by multiplying the number
of Rams symbols by the total number of credits bet.
If you have a scatter win and a normal win, you
are paid out for both wins, as the scatter symbol
does not need to appear on an enabled payline to win.
Example:
1. One Rams symbol and one Thor symbol scattered
anywhere on the five reels, does not complete a winning
combination, as the Thor symbol does not substitute
for the scatter symbol. A minimum of two Rams symbols
completes a winning scatter combination.
2. Three Rams symbols scattered anywhere on the five
reels, completes a scatter winning combination. Three
Rams symbols pay out the total amount of credits bet
multiplied by 5. If you have selected a 0.50 coin
and bet 5 coins on each of the 9 Paylines, your total
bet amount is 0.50 x 5 coins = 2.50 credits per payline
x 9 paylines = 22.50 total credits bet. Therefore,
your total payout is 22.50 total credits bet x 5 =
112.50 credits won.
3. Three Rams symbols scattered anywhere on the five
reels, and three Horn symbols on an enabled payline,
complete two winning combinations. Three Rams symbols
pay out 112.50 credits, and three Horn symbols pay
out 10 coins x 2.50 credits bet per payline = 25 credits.
Therefore, the total payout is 112.50 + 25 = 137.50
credits.
