SunQuest is a five-reel, nine payline, and nine coin
slot machine. The multiple paylines increase your
chances of winning. SunQuest has a wild symbol, and
a scatter symbol.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols
except the Scatter symbol to complete winning combinations.
The Scatter symbol means you are paid out if it appears
in any position on all five reels.
For every coin that you bet, you enable another
payline. You are paid out for winning combinations
on enabled paylines only.
The Wild symbol substitutes for all other symbols
except the Scatter symbol to complete winning combinations.
The Wild symbol, only appears in reels 2, 3 and
4.
Only one winning combination is paid out per enabled
payline. If there is more than one possible winning
combination on a payline, you are paid out the value
of the highest combination only.
The Scatter symbol is a scatter symbol. This means
that it does not need to appear in a line on an enabled
payline to win.
It can be scattered anywhere on the five reels provided
that three or more Scatter symbols appear.
Winnings are calculated by multiplying the number
of Scatter symbols by the total number of credits
bet.
Example:
1. One Scatter symbol and two Wild symbols scattered
anywhere on the five reels, does not complete a winning
combination. A minimum of three Scatter symbols completes
a winning combination.
2. Two Scatter symbols, scattered anywhere on the
five reels, does not complete a winning combination.
A minimum of three Scatter symbols completes a winning
combination.
3. Three Scatter symbols, scattered anywhere on
the five reels, completes a winning combination. Three
Scatter symbols pay out the total amount of coins
bet multiplied by 5. If you have selected a 0.25 coin
and 9 paylines, your total bet amount is 0.25 x 9
= 2.25 coins. Therefore your total pay out is 2.25
coins x 5 = 11.25 coins.
4. Three Scatter symbols, scattered anywhere on
the five reels and three Watermelon symbols on an
enabled payline completes two winning combinations.
Three Scatter symbols pay out 11.25 coins and three
Watermelon symbols pays out 10 x 2.25 = 22.50 coins.
Therefore the total pay out is 22.50 + 11.25 = 33.75
coins.
Malfunctions void all plays and pays.
Winnings are paid out on the highest combination on
each enabled payline only.
You are paid out for winning combinations on enabled
paylines only.
In a modern slot machine,
the odds of hitting a particular symbol or combination of symbols
depends on how the virtual reel is set up. As we saw in the last
section, each stop on the actual reel may correspond to more than one
stop on the virtual reel. Simply put, the odds of hitting a particular
image on the actual reel depend on how many virtual stops correspond to
the actual stop.
In a typical weighted slot machine, the top jackpot stop (the one with
the highest-paying jackpot image) for each reel corresponds to only one
virtual stop. This means that the chance of hitting the jackpot image on
one reel is 1 in 64. If all of the reels are set up the same way, the
chances of hitting the jackpot image on all three reels is 1 in 643, or
262,144. For machines with a bigger jackpot, the virtual reel may have
many more stops. This decreases the odds of winning that jackpot
considerably.
The losing blank stops above
and below the jackpot image may correspond to more virtual stops than
other images. Consequently, a player is most likely to hit the blank
stops right next to the winning stop. This creates the impression that
they "just missed" the jackpot, which encourages them to keep gambling,
even though the proximity of the actual stops is inconsequential.
A machine's program is
carefully designed and tested to achieve a certain payback percentage.
The payback percentage is the percentage of the money that is put in
that is eventually paid out to the player. With a payback percentage of
90, for example, the casino would take about 10 percent of all money put
into the slot machine and give away the other 90 percent. With any
payback percentage under a 100 (and they're all under 100), the casino
wins over time.
In most gambling
jurisdictions, the law requires that payback percentages be above a
certain level (usually somewhere around 75 percent). The payback
percentage in most casino machines is much higher than the minimum --
often in the 90- to 97-percent range. Casinos don't want their machines
to be a lot tighter than their competitors' machines or the players will
take their business elsewhere.
The odds for a particular
slot machine are built into the program on the machine's computer chip.
In most cases, the casino cannot change the odds on a machine without
replacing this chip. Despite popular opinion, there is no way for the
casino to instantly "tighten up" a machine.
Machines don't loosen up on
their own either. That is, they aren't more likely to pay the longer you
play. Since the computer always pulls up new random numbers, you have
exactly the same chance of hitting the jackpot every single time you
pull the handle. The idea that a machine can be "ready to pay" is all in
the player's head, at least in the standard system.
A payline is a 'line' on slot machine reels on which symbols must line up on in order to win. Some slot machines have only 1 payline, some have 3, others
have 5, 9 and even 15! Generally speaking, you must pay a coin to play each line on a machine, but have the option of
not playing all available lines.
So, on a 3 line machine, you can play the center line for one coin - the center line and the line above it for two coins - or all 3 lines for 3 coins. If
you don't play a specific line and a winning combination comes up on it - then you don't win.
Classic slot machines have 3 reels and only 1 line - a horizontal payline that goes through the middle of each reel. You may be able to wager more than
one coin per spin on these games - but the amount will apply to wins on the same payline. (You win more by betting more, but your chances of winning stay the same)
Other 3 reel slots often have three paylines, one in the middle, one above it, and one below it. Betting 1 coin activates the middle payline, betting 2 coins opens up 2 paylines, and
3 coins plays all 3 lines on a spin.
5 reel slot machines typically have quite a few paylines, from 5 to 15. These paylines aren't necessarily straight lines - there's diagonal matches and lines
that actually bend. How the lines go differs from machine to machine, but the lines should be marked clearly on each game.
Spring Break is a five reel, nine payline, and forty-five
coin slot machine. It has a scatter and a wild, multiplier
symbol.
Spring Break has two Bonus Features. These are Free
Spins and Gamble.
Three or more Beach Party symbols displayed on the
reels, activates the Free Spins bonus game.
You are given 15 free spins. All the bets and paylines
played in the 15 free spins are the same as the game
that started the Free Spins feature. All wins during
the 15 free spins are tripled.
If three or more Beach Party symbols are scattered
on the five reels during a Free Spins bonus game,
you are awarded another 15 free spins. The extra 15
free spins are added to the remaining number of free
spins.
Winnings are paid out on the highest combination
on each enabled payline only, except for scatter wins.
Scatter wins are added to payline wins.
You are paid out for winning combinations on enabled
paylines only, except for scatter wins. The Beach
Party symbol can appear in any position on the reels.
The value of the Free Spins and the Gamble Bonus features
prizes are displayed in credits, not coins. All regular
payouts are in coins.
Malfunctions void all plays and pays.
The Spring Break symbol is a wild, multiplier symbol.
This means that it substitutes for any other symbol
to complete winning combinations, except the Beach
Party symbol. And doubles the payout of any combination
it completes.
Multiple Spring Break symbols on an enabled payline
create winning combinations as shown in the Payout
Table.
Multiple Spring Break symbol only multiplies payouts
if it acts as a wild symbol.
1. Two Spring Break symbols and a single Burrito
symbol on an enabled payline complete a three Burrito
symbols combination, and pay out 10 coins. However,
two Spring Break symbols are displayed, so the payout
is 10 x 2 = 20 coins. Since two Spring Break symbols
pay out 10 coins, you are paid out for the three Burrito
symbols combination, as it is the higher value payout.
2. Three Spring Break symbols and two Road Trip symbols
on an enabled payline complete a five Road Trip symbols
combination, and pay out 800 coins. However, three
Spring Break symbols are displayed, so the payout
is 800 x 2 = 1,600 coins. Since three Spring Break
symbols pay out 200 coins, you are paid out for the
five Road Trip symbols combination, as it is the higher
value payout.
3. Four Spring Break symbols and a single Popsicle
symbol on an enabled payline complete a five Popsicle
symbols combination, and pay out 100 coins. Since,
four Spring Break symbols payout 2,000 coins, you
are paid out for the four Spring Break symbols combination,
as it is the higher value payout.
4. Five Spring Break symbols on an enabled payline
complete a winning combination, as per the payout
schedule, and pay out 10,000 coins.
The Beach Party symbol is a scatter symbol. This
means that it does not need to appear in a line on
an enabled payline to win. It can be scattered anywhere
on the five reels, provided two or more Beach Party
symbols appear.
You are paid out for winning combinations on enabled
paylines only, except for scatter wins. The Beach
Party symbol can appear in any position, on any of
the reels.
The Spring Break symbol does not complete a scatter
symbol combination.
Winnings are calculated by multiplying the number
of Beach Party symbols by the total number of credits
bet.
If you have a scatter win and a normal win, you
are paid out for both wins, as the scatter symbol
does not need to appear on an enabled payline to win.
Example:
1. One Beach Party symbol and one Spring Break symbol
scattered anywhere on the five reels, does not complete
a winning combination, as the Spring Break symbol
does not substitute for the scatter symbol. A minimum
of two Beach Party symbols completes a winning scatter
combination.
2. If you have selected a 0.50 coin and bet 5 coins
on each of the 9 paylines, your total bet amount is
0.50 x 5 coins = 2.50 credits per payline x 9 paylines
= 22.50 total credits bet.
Three Beach Party symbols scattered anywhere on the
five reels, completes a scatter winning combination
as shown in the Payout Schedule. Three Beach Party
symbols pay out the total amount of credits bet, multiplied
by 5. Therefore, your total payout is 22.50 total
credits bet x 5 = 112.50 credits won.
3. If you have selected a 0.50 coin and bet 5 coins
on each of the 9 paylines, your total bet amount is
0.50 x 5 coins = 2.50 credits per payline x 9 paylines
= 22.50 total credits bet.
Three Beach Party symbols scattered anywhere on the
five reels, and three Barbecue symbols on an enabled
payline, complete two winning combinations as shown
in the Payout Schedule. Three Beach Party symbols
complete a scatter winning combination and pays out
the total number of credits bet multiplied by 5. So,
you are paid 22.50 total credits bet x 5 = 112.50
credits.
Three Barbecue symbols complete a 3 Barbecue symbols
winning combination and pays out 10 coins. As you
bet 2.50 credits per payline, you are paid 10 coins
x 2.50 credits per payline = 25 credits.
Therefore, the total payout is 112.50 + 25 = 137.50
credits.

but it is only wild for fruit symbols. The Big Kahuna symbol
does not substitute for a Chief or Lizard symbol to complete

the Bonus Round Features. One or more Big Kahuna symbols on the
payline creates winning combinations as shown in the Payout Table.
5 Big Kahuna symbols on an enabled payline pays 8,000 times your
bet. The Monkey symbol is a scatter symbol. This means that it
does not need to appear in a line on an enabled payline to win.
The Monkey symbols can appear in any position on the reels provided
two or more Monkey symbols appear. You are paid out for winning
combinations on enabled paylines only, except for scatter wins.
